- Our History
Diversified Erbil was originally established in 1986 to support the South American market. In 2009 the business moved to the Middle East region and became a wholly owned subsidiary of UAE-based Diversified Drilling & Industrial Equipment F.Z.E.
Diversified Erbil opened its custom-built facility in Erbil in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq in 2011. Through the provision of quality service and quality products it quickly established itself as one of the primary providers of Tubing Running Services to the local market. Diversified Erbil has continued to grow in this market since formation and continues to support customer needs through an extended period of regional instability.
Whilst Diversified Erbil continues to provide the market with top-of-the-range TRS and associated equipment — including the revolutionary CRTi (Casing Running Tool Internal) tools and state-of-the-art Hydraulic Cat-Walk systems — the business never loses focus on the quality of service to its customers, recognising the importance of safety, reliability, punctuality and good inter-personal relations with all parties.
Diversified Erbil will continue to take the necessary steps to maintain its primary position in this market by introducing new products as and when the market requires, as well as looking at new global markets where such a high-quality service is in demand.

Full TRS capability from large-diameter surface casing to small 2-3/8" completion tubing, using both conventional running tools and CRTi technology.
CRTi Technology
The revolutionary Casing Running Tool Internal (CRTi) enables make-up, breakout, reciprocation, rotation, fill/circulate and cementing of casing and liner strings in a single trip — reducing NPT and associated costs.
Hydraulic Cat-Walk Systems
State-of-the-art hydraulic cat-walk systems for safe and efficient tubular handling on the rig floor, reducing manual handling and improving operational safety.
Torque Analysis Systems
Real-time torque monitoring on all casing running operations, with low-marking and low-penetrating dies available for chrome running in hostile-environment wells.
Trained TRS Personnel
Experienced CRT supervisors, operators, technicians, tong operators and stabbers — all trained at Volant's facilities and certified to IADC and API standards.
Kurdistan Region Operations
Custom-built facility in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq — established 2011 — providing local storage, maintenance and rapid mobilisation for regional operators.
